Self-Evaluation:
I fulfilled a lot after finishing this Flash animation exercise. I have experienced doing an animation with traditional method (without using Bone Tool) in pervious project, so I was not so strange to do this exercise so much at first. But when I accomplished the exercise step by step with the handout, I found that there were quite a lot procedures I had done wrong in the past. In this flash exercise, I had a chance to learn how to animate a character in a right way by using outline, file naming, shortcut key, keyframes setting, and timing editing.
We could animate a character with Bone Tool, but there is some limitation. For instance, we couldn’t accomplish a complex movement by only using Bone Tool since a disorder of movement will happen. On the contrary, if we animate a character with traditional method(without using Bone Tool), we could adjust the poses by setting the keyframes in the timeline. It is easier to accomplish a complex movement.
Comparing with two methods, I think that there is quite a difference between traditional method and Bone Tool. Bone Tool is suitable for animating simple movements, but traditional method is also suitable for animating the complex movements.
